Kenneth R. Rehmann (Ken) retired in mid-2024 following an over 35-year career with Marriott International, Inc. (“Marriott”). His most recent position was Global Officer, Finance & Operations for the International Division with oversight responsibilities for 2,300+ hotels spanning more than 137 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America. Drawing on his extensive finance and operations experience, he collaborated with the Global Chief Financial Officer and Continent Presidents to set, prioritize and align strategy, operations and financial infrastructure to drive business outcomes across important indicators, including profitability, associate and guest satisfaction, market share and growth to help ensure owner and shareholder value and Marriott’s long-term success as a global company.

His career with the company included serving as Chief Financial Officer, Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong for over 8 years with responsibility for finance and accounting, compliance, asset and strategy management, feasibility, and owner and franchise relations. Notably, he oversaw the APAC region’s integration of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. following the company’s 2016 acquisition. The Asia region was the fastest growing business for the company during his tenure. Prior to his time in Asia, Ken was Global Officer, Brand Management, Marketing and eCommerce based at Marriott Headquarters and led global brand and marketing strategy, services (including Marriott Rewards) and digital platforms.

Ken began his Marriott career providing support on development projects, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and various asset management and lodging initiatives. He was the lead finance representative for Marriott on the acquisitions of The Renaissance Hotel Group and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. (“Ritz-Carlton”). He was named Chief Financial Officer of Ritz-Carlton in 2001 and held multiple leadership roles, including oversight of hotel, brand and residential operations during his 8 years with the company.

Prior to joining Marriott, Ken was a senior consultant with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Ken is a Certified Public Accountant, graduate of the University of Maryland with an MBA from The George Washington University, and a Harvard Business School Executive Education graduate. He is currently a strategic advisor to the Gencom Group and on the Board of Pyramid Global Hospitality, the Immediate Past Chair of the Advisory Board of The Robert H. Smith School of Business at The University of Maryland, and Board member and Treasurer of Bethesda Country Club.

Ken lives with his wife Kim (and dog Abbey) and they have two grown children, Brendon and Katelyn. He enjoys spending time with family, traveling extensively, playing and watching tennis, fitness and other outdoor activities.
